Our story
From a shared idea to a registered national charity.
Smile Welfare Canada was founded by a group of young professionals from different fields who wanted to turn their skills and energy into practical help for people in need. They saw neighbours skipping meals, children without winter coats and families moving into empty apartments with nothing to sleep on.
The organization was incorporated in May 2024 under Ontario's Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010, and registered as a charity with the Canada Revenue Agency effective January 1, 2026. Today we operate from Mississauga, Ontario, with a mission to serve communities across Canada.

Smile Welfare Canada is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who oversee our programs, finances and compliance. We follow the requirements of the Income Tax Act for registered charities, keep complete books and records, and file our annual T3010 Registered Charity Information Return.
